Actors Lab
As an actor with training and some stage experience, you are encouraged to strengthen and expand your acting and audition skills through scene and monologue work, with an emphasis on:
- Establishing environment
- Creating relationships
- Developing character
- Taking risks
- Clarifying objectives and actions
- Sustaining emotional connection
- Making powerful choices
Each class begins with a physical and vocal warm-up followed by specific acting exercises. Cold readings help you explore and strengthen elements of the acting and audition process. You'll prepare a monologue and scene to perform by the course's end. You'll apply practical acting techniques and discover your most effective ways to explore and realize text and character.
